The designer planned most of the Lutheran churches especially round
Budapest in the XX-th century. Laying of the foundation stone was
made in 1932 then on 20 November of the same year the new church was
dedicated by the bishop Sándor Raffay The congregational house was
built in 1941.
The church was saved in the World War II. In 1950 Rákoscsaba,
Rákoshegy and Rákosliget became one administrative unit with
Rákoskeresztúr. The independent out-parishes were terminated and
became part of the Rákoskeresztúr parish.
The church was made of ashlar. The square windows are separated from
each other by buttresses built slantways getting wider downwards.
The churchtower is stubby, the top is closed by stepped walling. The
inner space is covered by ribbed wooden ceiling.
The ground plan is rectangle shaped, the altar space is angular
which is surrounded by the sacristy in an arch. The altar is a
wooden carving, the ceiling and the pews are decorated with
characteristically Hungarian colored patterns. The altar-piece
represents Jesus when curing the blind man. The church heating is of
Dantherm system given by the Finish brethen.
